Elbi ACF-100 100 liter thermal flywheel - base mounted
The Elbi ACF-100 thermal flywheel is a device with a dual function: that of inertial accumulation and that of hydraulic separator.
As an inertial accumulator, it is used in heat pump systems, heating and cooling systems, to reduce machine start-ups thanks to the storage of technical water inside it which is always available for starting the system. The presence of the thermal flywheel therefore optimizes the performance of the heat pump or generator in general, which is able to work for longer at a constant load and extends its useful life because it avoids frequent switching on and off.
As a hydraulic separator, however, the flywheel serves to make the flow rates of the heat pump independent of those of the heating/refrigeration terminals.
Designed to be installed on a base, the Elbi ACF-100 thermal flywheel is made with high quality sheets automatically welded to guarantee the highest regulatory standards. The external PVC covering is gray RAL 9006; the 30 mm thick insulation is made of rigid polyurethane foam with 95% closed cells and free from CFC and HCFC.
The thermal flywheel is installed between the heat pump and the distribution system. The size of the storage tank is to be chosen based on the power of the heat pump and the characteristics of the system.
The one proposed here has an effective capacity of 96 litres.
