The Caleffi insulation for the 546 Discaldirt deaerators-dirt separators consists of an expanded polystyrene shell , one centimeter thick, which thermally insulates the Discaldirts from both heat and cold. The insulating shell also blocks the passage of water vapor inside the deaerator when operating with chilled water. It therefore also prevents the formation of condensate on the valve body of the deaerator.
The insulation presented here is suitable for Caleffi deaerators-dirt separators with the following codes: 546002, 546005, 546006 (to be purchased separately).
The shell is applied like a shirt to the dirt separator using the stickers inside.

- Density: internal part: 30 kg/m3, external part: 80 kg/m3
- Thermal conductivity (ISO 2581): at 0°C: 0.038 W/(m K), at 40°C: 0.045 W/(m K)
- Coefficient of resistance to vapor (DIN 52615): > 1.300
- Operating temperature: 0÷110°C
- Reaction to fire (DIN 4102): class B2.
